Back to The Week, Held Together
Before adding a task to a team message, check whether the person receiving it can actually do it.
Individual action
Is the person authorized and equipped to do it? What support or information would make the next step possible?
Team coordination
Who will align the handoff or shared routine? Where should the team confirm it is complete?
Leadership action
What must a supervisor resource, clarify, approve, or stop? What decision is needed, and when?
System barrier
Who has authority beyond the team, and how will the request move? Name the appropriate route without promising a result.
Make the assignment usable
For each action, name the owner, the support, and a realistic time. Label what is optional. If a problem belongs to leadership or the wider system, do not disguise it as an individual reminder.
